Well, I’ll admit I’m not exactly an essential employee, I don’t work on the frontline or service external customers (I do analysis stuff for higher ups). And I could probably go a month without a paycheck, but it wouldn’t be fun. So yeah a shutdown puts a burden on people.

Right, that’s my point. They don’t care about the burdens shutdowns cause.
