My partner and I went to Madrid last year, and saw it. It’s magnificent. Better than I expected, and I already placed it high (I know, high, right? Not necessarily) in my list of all-time greatest painting hits. The man was a genius.

Wow. That is great. I’m glad you got to see it…you are the first I’ve ever heard about.

I always like to watch people’s reaction to it. Like I said above…it’s messed with people since 1500. I can hear Bosch laughing still.

It sure made the world aware that an artist’s range of imagery no longer had to be stuck in the real world. I think that is another huge marker in the art world.

It’d be like he brought jazz to classical music in the same time period.

Some would have looked down on it, some would have strained to interpret and most generally would have wondered WTF?

Meanwhile others in the art world would have been looking how they could go with it and enter it into their works. Minds expanded.
