It’s not surprising that is the case, considering that the GOP had no problem shutting down government back in 2013. This party has every intention on shredding government by hook and crook. It’s in their DNA, and if they shut down DHS, they don’t care that the essential workers are going to go without pay while working either.

Because the GOP doesn’t care about workers’ rights either given their willingness to gut employee protections across the board, refusing to raise the minimum wage, opposing ACA, opposing sick leave, parental leave, etc.

Would the appropriate Obama troll of Congress for a DHS de-funding be an announcement that the US Border Patrol on the Mexican border has to be cut back immediately due to having no budget?
