Of course, I used to watch Laugh-In and laugh like an idiot, so I can’t point fingers….

Memories are sometimes best kept at arms length. When I was a kid, “Dark Shadows” was all the rage, and I thought it was the greatest thing since sliced bread! A while back it became available on Netflix, and I thought, “Great! I’ll catch up on those episodes from before I started watching it!”

Oh. My. God.

Dreadful writing. Awful pacing. Acting comprised almost entirely of exchanges of significant glances and reaction shots. An entire week spent on a single plot point.

I’d have been happier left with my illusions.
