“You know it’s so ironic, people complain all the time that President Trump may have dangled pardons in front of people and that constitutes tampering with witnesses and bribery,” Dershowitz attempted. “Think about what the government does every day, what prosecutors do every day? They literally bribe witnesses, by their freedoms, sometimes their lives and their money.”

“When the government offers less time in prison to a witness to get their testimony, that constitutes bribery,” he asserted before backtracking and saying a court of appeals that previously made that ruling saw it struck down.
