re: #227 Blind Frog Belly White
It’s meat. It’s minced. What’s the problem?
/////BTW, good luck finding actual Mincemeat. It’s all what USED TO be called “Mock Mincemeat”. ACTUAL Mincemeat has, you know, actual MEAT in it.
The fruit processing company Dad worked for used to make real Mincemeat pie filling, and we always had at least one Mincemeat pie for Christmas.
Mom would ALWAYS pierce the upper crust of any two-crust pie in the form of a T: “T for ‘Tis Mince’. T for ‘Tain’t Mince’.”
I remember Crosse & Blackwell (?) use to sell real mincemeat in jars and cans along with brandies hard sauce.
