Actually- it’s insulting. Do men vote for other men because they’re the same gender? People don’t vote with their crotch.

Gender is for nouns. People are either of the male or female sex. And I don’t vote because of sex.

(As an aside, I was at the doctor’s today and scratched out the question that asked me my “gender”, replacing it with the proper word, “sex”. I hope someone was offended.)
