Probably the biggest reason why I don’t feel like I fit in over there (I have lurked occasionally but not regularly at this point, because of things like that).

I’m a realist. Part of that means recognizing where compromise needs to happen in order to allow the bigger picture goals to move forward.

I mean sure, I would have loved universal health care. But the ACA is a whole lot better than what we had, and it was something that could actually happen. I’d love to see more forward progress on this issue, but for millions of Americans this was a HUGE step forward.

Realist, you say? Pshaw. Why, look at how easy-peasy they believe the Bernie groundswell will occur according to one of their commenters:

Two million volunteers, spread evenly across every precinct in the county without spending any money. Why, they should be able to put that together before breakfast tomorrow!
