Sometimes, I forget, for all the progress we have made, how we have regressed and/or been hamstrung by Puritan impulses over the years.

The school was strongly German, run by Capuchin Franciscans driven out by Bismark during the Kulturkampf. Our tiny museum was mostly steins from generations of our teachers. The teachers were trained there, did their work all over the world, and returned to be buried. Fr A (PBUH) is among them.
