They’ve hit the wall. They hoped to run a scorched earth campaign against Biden and it isn’t working. And with a complete lack of positive vision for the next four years, they’ve opted to stop buying ads and (probably) trying to pocket the money.

Or, why spend the money if he is thinking about resigning rather than suffer the humiliation of what might be a monumental election loss. I think Pence would go along with a Nixon type resignation.
