re: #115 Eric The Fruit Bat

My first computer was a Motorola MicroChroma 68 evaluation board, which was meant to demonstrate the MC 6845 video display controller. I putzed with the RCA CDP1802 a bit, but my “real” first computer was the TI 99/4A. After that I moved to the Atari 520ST, where I jury-rigged adding 512K RAM by piggy-backing it on top of the motherboard.

Mine was a Commodore CBM 8032 from around 1979 - this was the “business” model of the Commodore PET which had a regular (non-chicklet) keyboard, an 80-column black & white monitor and IEEE-488 connections for printer and/or floppy drive. A couple years later I sold it off - which has proved to be a massive mistake in retrospect as it is considered a collector’s item now and worth about three to four times as much as I originally paid for it.
