I suspect ratfucking. If she wasn’t already getting encouragement, money and support from some anti-AGW group, you can bet they’re falling over themselves now to help her behind the scenes.

(I’m not commenting on the truth of the allegations as I haven’t been following it. Note that the above can still be true— anti-AGW types helping her out— even if the incident happened exactly as she claimed.)
