I would say we should look at it historically. Now the remnants of ows consist of various fringe bozos (as I predicted months ago). And that’s ows now. It’s not completely the same as ows 2 months ago.

The issue of income disparity has become mainstream to a large extent because of OWS. By itself it could never become a political force without forming a new political party, which obviously won’t happen, anymore than black neighborhood riots in the past did.

However there is a lasting effect and the sentiments won’t go away however badly they may be expressed, while the economic circumstances remain. Attention will be paid, regardless of the disparaging remarks by the likes of the Newt, who struck me as coincidentally having a lot in common with Putin recently.
