I’m very much in favor of mocking religions but even I’m not comfortable with the reaction to the whole Tebow thing. Atheists tend to go too far with the visceral reaction to any public displays of faith. I think it betrays an intellectual insecurity and seems to be an attempt to drive all displays of religious faith underground and behind closed doors. Tebow doesn’t bother me at all but I don’t watch football.

Why do you think it’s an attempt to drive all display of religious faith underground?

Isn’t that a bit of a stretch?
