Yeah, the main thing I’ve found is a report by the NY DOE criticizing the CUNYs for the lack of outcome assessment done at the higher level. That was a few years ago, maybe they’ve stepped up.

My wife is pushing me to try NYU instead but they’re literally about 8 times as expensive. I don’t know if it’s worth the difference.

I want to be a LCSW, but I know I’m going to wind up back in California, so the networking will not be actually all that useful over here. However, my wife is going to be a doctor, and so I’ll be able to network through her, too.

Before costs drove us to KY and their community college system I put in for CCNY. Do they go as far as a master’s program? They had a great history of graduating some gritty ‘doers’.
