Tax rates. The GOP is gonna get its ass tanned in the polls if it doesn’t agree to cutting taxes for the middle class. Giving that up leaves us with either driving the country into default in two months or giving up more social safety net spending.

Of course the GOP would support middle class tax cuts. How would that force them to vote yes on raising the debt ceiling?
