Yep. Gorging on turkey and stuffing and then: “who’s ready for some birthday cake?!” And the Christmas presents were a bit muted: “well, we just bought you something for your birthday, so….”

I never did understand this. I was hoping that my daughter would be born early, around Christmas, but she waited two weeks more before she was forced out. Just because Christmas just happened, I refuse to skimp on her birthday. It’s a totally different celebration.
