re: #212 William Lewis

Probably a good time for blather since no one is here. I got to thinking about my top 10 westerns…

1) High Noon
2) Shane
3) The Good, The Bad and The Ugly
4) The Searchers
5) A Fistful of Dollars
6) Stagecoach
7) For A Few Dollars More
8) True Grit (Wayne Version)
9) She Wore A Yellow Ribbon
10) The Magnificent Seven

I just wonder sometimes what that says about me…

For one that you appear to not like the modern westerns that much, or as much as older classics. Two, you appear to like the lone hero against odds stuff.

I concur with those being a real good set of movies. I’d probably have “Once Upon A Time in the West” and “The Professionals” on my equivalent. And I would definitely pull “True Grit” since I can’t stand the girl. (And the son in “Shane” annoys me as well.)
