My Dad was the General Manager of an automotive supply and machine store back when the slant-six engines were popular. He never stocked parts (valves, pistons, gaskets, etc.) for those engines as the never were brought in for rebuilding. Next to the GM 283 and 350 those slant-sixes were one of the best engines ever built.

I love our Honda Civic and Toyota Rav4, but you have to hire a child to replace a headlight. After my Plymouth Valiant, I owned a Ford Ranger. I both cars there was so much room under the hood to work.
