Military tribs are not that much different than civilian courts, I’m not a lawyer but would wager that you still have to use the trial to stop the trial once initiated. In other words O couldn’t get the Judge to stop the trial, but he could order the prosecutor to withdraw charges.

I’m sure he could order the judge to “throw the case out of the court”
