Yeah, unfortunately that is what makes this country unique and , in some ways, keeps the peace.

We have the right to armed rebellion.

I don’t like the way it is used as a threat, in a very Pre-Civil War South kinda way. Those using it really don’t get (most of them anyway) the image they create.

If our government were tyrannical, then perhaps. But our government is democratically, legally and fairly elected. There have been glitches, there are massive imperfections in the system, but it is far, far, far removed from the sort of tyranny that would begin to justify use of force against it.

That is the point that the TP people like to overlook: the only government they see as legal is the one that they would agree with, the one that Grover Norquist said he wanted to “drown in a bathtub”
