Anyway, this article was a big nothing burger, but I was actually surprised at the number of qualifiers put in there. I guess I would credit his co-author with that. But it includes multiple statements from law enforcement people about how hard the FISA process is to abuse, with little push back from the authors.

The main problem is that again he is working off some very limited document (in this case a spreadsheet list) and can offer no info on what the surveillance may have consisted of, why it was undertaken, if these guys were the actual targets, or were unwitting contactees of the real targets, etc.

Also, the comments at the Intercept are interesting, with those who I would assume would normally be sympathetic saying “that’s it?” You can expect some of his fanboys on the right to say “yeah, but they’re just muslims.”
