re: #2 S’latch

Sessions isn’t going to be any less a perjurer because of Al’s stupid move a long time ago. Net neutrality is not going to be any less in danger. Franken is still going to advocate strongly as a policy wonk for all of the stuff that Minnesotans elected him for.

He’ll probably need to stay away from rallies and fundraisers for other candidates and causes, but he won’t be any less of a smart policy wonk. He probably pays more attention to what is in bills than any other senator. He’s currently as good or better on women’s issues as any male elected official.

Yesterday I felt like throwing up over this whole shit show and how quick we are to immediately throw people from our own side under the bus without examination. Who knows what’s eventually going to happen with him but, dammit, as a senator, I couldn’t ask for more from him. We know that conservatives are going to scream holy murder about him for the rest of his life but that doesn’t mean we have to just shut up and agree with them without some examination.

I don’t feel like meekly agreeing with conservatives that such a great senator has to go. Trump couldn’t resist attacking Franken because he’s been such a pain to him.

I’m at work so I’ll have to check back and see how wrong everyone thinks I am in a couple of hours.
