That $2800 will have to stretch a long time.

As I look at the charts, it seems to me that people are looking at it wrong. People are saying “your taxes go down for 4 years, then they go up”. That sounds like they get reduced progressively.

In reality, your taxes go down the FIRST year, but they rise after that, in the sense that your 2019 taxes will be higher, your 2020 taxes higher still, etc. After 2025, they’ll be higher than they would have been without this bill in the first place.
