When it comes to Miss Daniels, all I can say is that what consenting adults do for fun in the spare time is their own damn business, be they Democrats or Republicans. This affair is only of interest if she was paid off in violation of campaign finance law.

The whinging I heard from conservatives over Monica Lewinsky and Bill Clinton, and the attacks on Hillary Clinton over it (it didn’t matter what she did, staying in her marriage or divorcing him were both made out as a failure of her), along with an adulterous Republican House speaker leading the charge, I have zero sympathy for hypocritical conservatives now.

“But Democrats think private stuff should remain private” say the wingnuts, as a way to deflect from their own politicians’ failings. Nope.
