Its remarkable that in a deep red district, outspent 5-1, in an 88% white district, O’Connor nearly pulled it out. Republicans all over the country are shitting their pants.

I know some, like Skip, do not see any kind of reward in a hair thin loss, but I want everyone to remember this same race gets repeated in November. I think many are missing that.

It is due to how Tiberi retired and how that worked on the calander with the election laws.

This was so close there is a good chance more people will want to come out and vote in November when it is a bigger election with bigger turnout.

And, as in a war…a tie battle but a bigger cost in money and reputation for the Republicans. Trump did Balderson more harm than good. More Trump hate build-up by November too.

I think O’Connor shows he can stand in this race for the full term seat, not a fill-in of 5 months from this race.
