Charles, my wife absolutely loves her DX and I would never have gotten it without your prodding. Thanks. The larger screen is a dream and the auto-rotate to landscape is sometimes a big plus.

I do wish the web browser could do more. Know any tricks? Specifically, I’d like to be able to call up maps from mapquest (or any other source) if I get stuck on the highway. This could come in handy in a pinch.

This is EXACTLY what I predicted would happen: People are going to end up wanting their Kindles to act like computers, and their iPhones to act like Kindles, and their computers to act like iPhones, and in the not-very-distant future we’ll have a single all-in-one product that will in fact do all the things of the mystery product described by Tom Waits in “Step Right Up.”
