So let me propose another perspective on what to hope for in the GOP primary. Which GOP candidate would provide the more helpful counterpoint to the incumbent?

Who will arouse the better arguments in ads, debates and pundit forums? I almost page/polled that but I’m just not great at the perfect phrasing needed for a poll.

Romney will spout nothing but platitudes. Newt will blow a lot of racist dogwhistles, but he fancies himself an intellectual, so he might actually debate ideas about the economy and how jobs are generated.
