So recall that when the USSR fell apart, it left the Ukraine with the fifth largest nuclear arsenal in the world. They agreed to disarm in exchange for promises that the West would guarantee their territorial integrity.

Since we have reneged on our end of the deal, is it not fair that we give them back their nukes?

The guarantee was that both Russia and the West would stay out of Ukraine. Russia reneged.
