Nah. The fundamental problem with SW is that they are so-so car-chase movies set in space, with elements of bad pirate and war movies thrown in. Issues of character development are about as relevant as they would be in a white-hat/black-hat Western.

The fundamental problem with SW is that nobody could ever seem to figure out that light sabers are rubbish vs shotguns.
