You could say too many years of no one getting into politics on the Democratic side of things.

Note too, there are many elderly Republicans of the same age as Pelosi and Chuck Schumer. The only thing that has seemingly brought younger people to the Republican party are the Religious Right types.

Hopefully younger people are discovering the need. Seems to be the case.

Edit: I think too many Democrats thought things were working pretty well, and if they weren’t, someone else would fix it. I think that’s changing.
