Rauner bought the race last time — Pritzker can outspend him. People who are teachers disliked his main opponent Biss — the candidate with actual experience — because of his position on reducing teacher benefits. However, most of my non-teacher friends supported Biss.

My position in the general election is simple — Pritzker is a Democrat; that’s enough to get my vote. I don’t care how sleazy he is. But there is definitely something wrong with this trend of rich individuals buying offices at the top instead of working their way up.

Worst case, he’ll wind up in the governor’s wing at Statesville, or wherever the ex-gov’s of IL are these days.

If I still lived there is do exactly what you said, vote Democrat. No matter what.
