I very much agree. The GOP electorate was eager for a Trump after Mitt got his balls handed to him by Obama. They wanted an unapologetic son of a bitch.

Really, they wanted Trump (or someone like him) INSTEAD OF Romney. The first 6 months of the 2012 GOP Primary race was a series of “Not-Romneys”, each taking the lead for a month, until they’d exhausted all the other possibilities and everyone sighed, and said, “FINE! Romney, then.”
