The very fact that the Dems are not going to be the majority in Senate has to give us pause.

If Harris is going to break an 80 year old precedent, what will happen when the next Republican VP sits in that chair.

We have to remember that half the country is fine with Trumpian politics and Trumpian dystopia.

We can’t expect the Dems to win in 2024.

We can’t even expect the Dems to hold the House in 2022. Remember, the Dems lost House seats this time, a complete disappointment.

So yes, Harris needs to tread carefully with flexing the her muscle as President of the Senate.
