come to think of it, i did the very same thing as this Eltahawy woman:

a bunch of larouche-ites had a card table set up on the sidewalk outside of the local safeway last summer. it was festooned with posters of obama dressed up like a nazi. this pissed me off

i couldn’t help myself - i went up and tore one of them down and ripped it up

felt good

local police who were keeping an eye on the whole thing didn’t feel that they needed to intervene in this little spat

psychologists say that if you don’t allow yourself or you can’t respond to speech or actions that hurt you psychically, that this causes you more damage

I’ll give you a “Fuck yeah!” for that.
