As for me, I’m not fond of UN treaties, but I don’t see this one as problematic, given that it isn’t self-enforcing and doesn’t violate American principals or values. Rick Santorum would disagree with my assessment, but he signed on with Weird Nut Daily, so fuck him.

Not just Rick Santorum, but the GOP at large, Dark. Only 8 GOP senators voted for it. So why focus on Santorum, rather than the GOP in general? Too uncomfortable to really admit what this means about the GOP?
