Again. Global warming is happening. It’s not going away. It’s not getting weaker. The temperatures continue rising. It’s wishful thinking (actively burying head in sand) to think that it’s not occurring, or that heavy snow in Buffalo is proof that global warming is nonsense.

Global warming will actually create conditions ripe for further massive snowfalls like that seen downwind from all the Great Lakes. Warmer temperatures will keep the lakes warmer and reduce their freeze-overs, which means that when Arctic cold air rushes in as the jet stream oscillates, you’ll see more events like those pummeling Buffalo this week. These events rely on tremendous temperature differentials between air and water temperatures. Global warming will only accelerate those differences.
