I know. There’s no way around the Senate, and it would take something so completely awful to get McConnell to even consider the trial of Trump for removal. But that itself is an indictment of the GOP - they refuse to adhere to the rule of law and would instead protect the criminal Trump.

If I were Democratic party leadership, I’d do pressers where 50% is impeachment related stuff outlining Trump criminality and the other 50% is policy stuff. Every committee can be involved.

i’ve said it before
- you do all the hearings, in nauseating detail
- you make it plain as day
- you prepare articles
- and don’t vote on them

- can even go so far as to say publicly:

“here’s the evidence. we all know. Unfortunately the senate decided long ago, before we even started investigating, that they would vote to clear him no matter what. They said it on television.”
