Another problem for Bernie, if he’s the nominee, is who will be his running mate.

Second problem (already picked up by the WaPo): down-ticket Democrats who are going to have to distance themselves from Bernie. And many will, in districts in which their prior victory was small and whose electorate still lover Je$u$ (and Bernie hates Je$u$, a fact of which the electorate will be reminded over and over.)

The latter is the shitstorm I most fear, because the response from Bernie and his flying monkeys is not going to be “They’re campaigning to win,” but “THEY ARE PART OF THE ESTABLISHMENT AND THUS MUST BE SHUNNED!” A presidential candidate needs coattails, needs to be able to say that he’ll have the votes in Congress to get the things he’s promising accomplished. If you have a nominee that’s actively fighting against his own party, then the only people who benefit are the opposition.
