He likely had done that and gotten the brush-off. I agree that he was asking for trouble, but he most likely was simply fed to the teeth with government BS and couldn’t take it anymore.

Just because they aren’t immediately adopting his recommendations doesn’t give him the right to comprimise airport security. I suppose a lot of his recommendations are in the works but these things take time and money. Let’s suppose some of the flaws he pointed out are a year away from being fixed. All he did was endanger air passengers for the next 12 months. It’s a shitty thing to do.
