OT question: Has anyone seen a new show called Stranger Things and is it really as good as I’ve heard from some folks I know?

I ask because having been burnt too much by TV shows that ended up badly or were cancelled without a proper ending, I’m far more strict with what I’m willing to start watching nowadays…

I have heard good things about it, but my taste is also rather personal…never got into Game of Thrones of Breaking Bad. For that I got into Walking Dead (but have given up on it since the last season) and ditto with Peaky Blinders.
