538 always went back to 6 points before it would start designedly rubberbanding back to the center.

I can’t help remembering last time the averages were over 3 points pessimistic, too—plus “already voteds” being filtered out of the current polls. I wouldn’t be surprised if Hillary wins by 10. I’ll take any victory, but I really want to bathe in the tears of the deplorables.
