re: #238 CongoJack

What Iran means most likely is the creation of Israel was a mistake (not my words) as the state of Israel was imposed by the Brits and French (and UN) as a way to give space for the Jewish people whom had survived the Holocaust. Without that international push the Palestinians would not have been marginalized and the conflict would not have taken place as there would not have been a whole created state (that was basically born in apartheid).

Not saying I agree with… well… anyone in the conflict. But the right wing Israelis keep pushing their boundaries with the Palestinians and basically have them (Palestinians) caught between a rock and a hard place with no where to go. Are Israelis becoming the same object that once hurt their own people? Maybe - time will tell.

Disclaimer: this topic is high voltage and has different angles. I do not mean to offend.

To be fair, I’d rather be a Jew in Iran than to be one in Pakistan. In spite of Iran’s hostility to Israel, it has thankfully not translate into outright open hostility by Iranians against their Jewish citizens.

Can’t say the same for Pakistan where there are plenty of Pakistanis who glorify Hitler every time shit hits the fan vis-a-vis Gaza.
