re: #239 HappyWarrior

OT but I’ve been watching a lot of interesting TV set in one of my favorite time periods to read and learn about. WWI and its aftermath. We often hear about the Greatest Generation and their heroics in the Depression and WWII but I feel so little about their parents, the men and women who shaped them. I just got done watching Rebellion, an Irish series about the Irish Easter Rising and later Irish War of Independence and right now I’m watching Road to Cavalry, a Russian miniseries based off a novel about two sisters caught up in the Russian drama from 1914-the victory of the Reds in the USSR. I’m thinking a lot about my grandparents’ parents. 8 men and women I never got ot know.

I watched the first of the Irish series. Watched a little of the second. Totally didn’t know any of that stuff.

Also, unrelated, I bought a recent biography on HH I thought you might like.
