One of the very few times I disagree with you. I had some ugly attitudes/beliefs when I was the same age as this guy…and making the kind of money he got from Jones is one hell of an inducement to a young 20 something to go along. The wonder is that he walked away from it in the first place when we see people three times his age in Congress failing this same test of character. If I want some measure of grace applied to my stupidity, I must be able to extend it to others who are willing to learn.

Thing is, he’s getting a lot more than grace here. A feature article in the NYT Magazine is NOT deserved, just for suddenly deciding he didn’t want to lie any more. This is the same kind of over-reaction they have to never-Trumpers.
