I know that in Germany, herbal teas and herbal cures never died out, I assume that after WW2 when everything was in short supply, you had to turn to Oma’s herb garden to treat what was ailing you.

You can still go in and find teas, tablets and drops to treat everything from twitchy nerves to rattly lungs to itchy eyes to ears to runny noses, scratchy throats, sleeplessness, etc.

Yep, that’s identical to here. Must be a Central European thing.
