This should not be reflective of the entire country but of course hardline nationalist discourse can make even the most rational become irrational in an instant.
I’ve seen the hardline nationalist discourse on Armenian sites railing against the “Soros-backed”, i.e. pro-democracy/anti-oligarch/anti-authoritarian camp. I’m happy to report that they were decisively defeated in the recent elections, making the country a rare success story amidst the world-wide authoritarian tide.
Azeri Twitter is of course solidly part of Team Autocracy, and the activity should be looked at in that light.
