I’ve considered joking about legalizing marijuana as a stimulus before today, but the more I think on it, the more I think it should be given more consideration than a mere joke.

There’s a lot of money and resources the government spends on the war on drugs that could be spent elsewhere if our law enforcement officers weren’t chasing down potheads.

Plus- think of the taxes the government could rake in on this one product alone.

While I do not partake, myself, due to job requirements, I absolutely agree with you. I think it should be legal, like alcohol. The apparently silly marijuana laws, though, serve a purpose, and it is of gaining more power over the citizens. Make enough people into criminals, and you can control them. Hence, all the stupid laws and regulations that are being passed, left and right. All for “our own good”, of course.
