Exactly. They never even granted him that. I remember I think Gingrich called him the Affirmative Action President or some crap like that and I remember the countless white conservatives who suggested that liberals like me who voted for him did so only because he was black. I won’t lie. I’m happy we got a black man President because we needed that perspective for once in the Oval Office but I chose Obama over McCain and Romney because his values were more in line with mine and I stand by those votes. McCain wouldn’t have fixed Bush’s economic fuck ups and military mess ups. It’s not because McCain was a bad man but because IMO he was unequipped to handle them and the right wing learned nothing from the mistakes of the Bush years just as they’ll elarn nothing from Trump.
