I found it odd that you only named yang as a fringe candidate and omitted the others polling the same or lower than him (innocent I’m sure on your part), when yang actually has common sense ideas that address what’s actually happening right now, where as the other leading candidates are all running on the same old cookie cutter ideas and slogans.
He likely won’t get the nomination, but flippantly dismissing him is wrong. Let the media do that.

Yep, well, I consider having some political experience to be a requirement, in addition to not being an Assad apologist or an “if we solve our economic problems, we’ll solve our racism problem” type. To each their own.
